Boxing to fight against Parkinsons

Donation protected
Someone near and dear to me has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Although this is a degenerative neurological disease there is evidence that shows that high intense workouts from boxing can help slow the progression of the disease. There is a program called Rock Steady Boxing that focuses on such workouts for those who live with PD. Help us fight this disease! Please see the following link for more information on this program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSnpPGruvSE

I have been certified to teach the Rock Steady Method and am ready to start a program in Warrenton, VA. but I need help! I am so excited that I have been offered space at Blaser Physical Therapy for this program. In order to make this program successful, we need to make some upgrades to the space provided and purchase equipment (punching bags, mats etc.) as well as plan for other start up costs related to the program and Parkinsons education. One exciting upcoming event is Doctor Yaghi from Georgetown University specializing in movement disorders will be coming to Warrenton on September 25 at the John Barton Payne Bldg., 2 Courthouse Square, Warrenton, VA at 6:30 p.m.to bring awareness to this disease and speak on the latest treatments for Parkinsons.  My initial goal is to raise $3000. Please consider donating to this very important cause to help this program become a reality and bring awareness to Parkinsons in the Warrenton area. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
