Launch a Bold New Magazine: Rock and a Hard Place

Rock and a Hard Place Magazine is a cross-genre magazine publishing works of fiction that focus on the plight of marginalized, poor, depressed, and desperate people.

Desperation is universal. And so is the power of stories. Our hope is that some solace can be found in sharing tales of struggle and hardship.

We’ve got some amazing submissions for issue one. Writers have poured their hearts on the page and have probably pulled a few hairs out too. Now, to do these stories justice, we need your help.

Producing a quality magazine costs money. We want this baby to look nice and we want to get these awesome stories in to the hands of readers across the world.

You know what that means. Yes, we want you to sell a kidney to help us pay for this. Preferably two kidneys.

No, not really. You can, of course, but you don’t have to. And if you do, we’ll look the other way, okay?

But really it would be great though if you could pitch in some cash. And if you can’t pitch in some cash, forward this to someone who can, or post it on the far corners of the internet.

Our goal for issue one is $2,500. This will cover paying our amazing writers and artists as well as production and marketing costs.

Any contribution of $50 or more means you get a free copy when this comes out in the late summer/early fall. And contribution of $100 or more means you get a copy of issue one and a special shout out at our launch event!
