Rocco's Recovery

This is Rocco, an 8 year old shih tzu/llhasa apso mix. His favourite activities are snuggling up next to his brother Johnny, taking walks with his brother Chris and giving kisses to his mama Gloria. Rocco's always been given extra love by way of kisses and food, and he was living happily at home until they noticed he was acting  strange. He began urinating frequently, drinking more water, and his eye began to droop. After a trip to they vet they concluded he had an eye infection and gave him the necessary vaccines. It wasn't until 4am that morning when he started vomiting and became lethargic. During a second visit to the vet that day it was confirmed that he was diabetic. Now suffering from a diabetic ketoacidosis, he is fighting. Under 24 hour care, he is struggling to stabilize his insulin but him, his vet, and his family are all not giving up. Everyday he shows slight improvements with his eating, and excersize, and his vet has faith that he will pull through. Through all of this, Rocco has been in the vet long enough that his vet bills now exceed 10,000 dollars. This is why we ask for your help.
