Robyns Service Dog

About 12 years ago, I became pregnant with my first child.  It was exciting and scary as most pregnancies are, but it held an extra obstacle. It caused a condition in my body known as Postural Orthastatic Tachycardic Syndrome.
Basically this condition causes my body not to react to stimuli they way it normally would. My blood does not compensate well to things that cause my blood to pool. As a result I faint-often with little to no warning. Some things that I have been able to identify as my triggers are positional changes, becoming too warm, sitting too long, yawning, menstration, changes in elevation(climbing stairs, or riding in an elevator) and physical or emotional stresses.
My heart rate can shoot from 72-184 in a few seconds and my blood pressure often drop to dangerously low readings. 60/40 or lower have been recorded by paramedics and doctors during an episode.
The effects of all of this are extreme in consequences to my daily life and my health.
I have no independance and my family have had to rearrange their lives to help me in many ways-which they do happily and without complaint.
I have suffered so many concussions that I have been diagnosed with brain injury and will be starting a rehab therapy for that soon.
I have had a broken Jaw and orbital bone, 2 dislocated shoulders and 3 miscarriages as a result of some of my falls.

Even my family and friends are greatly effected. We are a military family, my husbands career requires him to be away for extended times and often with little notice. Peoples trips have had to be cancelled so they can be with me when he isnt here, family have actually sold their homes and moved with us across the country when my husband is posted so that we have support close by. The military have been wonderful and supportive, but my condition affects his ability to do his work.

As a result of my inability to go anywhere on my own(and sometimes even get out of bed), and the way I have altered the lives of so many of those I love,  I also suffer from depression.

Recently my specialist told me that he has attempted everything and there is little else to be done and that I need to learn to live with this the best way I can.

I have decided to try to obtain a service dog. I have tried many times over the past 12 years to apply with non profit organizations to recieve the funded dogs, however my condition is not well known and is not on any list of approved conditions for funding.

A dog that is so highly trained is very expensive, ranging from $3,000 to over $50, 000.00.
Even if I could get a breed that is appropriate for the needs I have and work privately with a trainer, it would help my situation immensely.

What this would mean, is a dog that can help with mobility, should i become weak in an unsafe spot(crossing a road, or on steps). He would be trained to "alert" if a faint when nobody is in my immediate vicinity( I could then safely shower without a person having to be in the room with me "incase", and go outside without somebody having to accompany me).
He would be trained to pick things up for me because bending over is sometimes a cause of my fainting.

A dog like this takes a lot of training and socialization from puppyhood and can be a long process, none of which can start until I have the funds.

I just want to be less reliant on other people to do things as simple as shower or sit outside.  This dog would do that and possible even allow me small walks, or a trip on a bus to go to a store if needed.
