Jaco Robotic Arm Fundraiser!!
Hi Everyone! I'm going to be doing an online, GoFundme Fundraiser for a new arm! A Robotic Arm!
It's hard for me to ask for the help with anything, so I must see the extra importance, and realize how much extra ability that this will give me. Fortunately/Unfortunately, after we saw this Robotic Arm in the last minutes of the Abilities Expo, we were able to schedule an did the in home trial and fell in love with it, I knew it was going to be expensive, but 55 thousand is the magic number! I don't see any other option than to run another kick ass Fundraiser. I tried insurance... inshmerance pfff). No help. But let's make it happen!?!
The last online fundraiser was such a huge success that I have to see if that love, and magic, are still available, I believe in people! I’m thinking it is and lighting can strike in the same place again, and when soo much rain has fallen over the last couple years, maybe that lightning just might make a direct hit! And I'm not talking about just myself, it's been a rough couple of months/years for soo many people who are close personal friends, and family have ran into many hardships, that maybe we all need a little support from each other.
After a conversation with a very smart, very dear friend that is a genius at putting things in perspective like only he can! There is only good things that can come from this. I hope you know who you are, thank you!
It does feel good to give, when you’re giving for the good. And it really doesn’t matter how much. This one is going to take every penny we can muster. I would not do it if I didn’t think it would make an incredible difference in my life. And I wouldn't ask for the help unless I was in need and obviously can't do it alone. A lot of people including myself of course enjoyed to see that number rise during the last Fundraiser for my wheels! I hope that you can find it in your heart and enjoy your part in making a better future for me, and easier for those around me...
A little more on the Jaco Robotic Arm
While i wait for healthcare to catch up. I’m going to go the way of the robotics! Robotics you may say? Yes, Robotics, A product called the Jaco Robotic Arm! And this thing is awesome! It's very easily controllable, much more than I was thinking. immediately I could see that it would give me some ability to do a lot more than I thought. Examples; pull my blanket to the right spot, hold something, move something, pick something up..endless possibilities. - take meds -presets for different reasons such as eating cereal with a spoon, or sipping from a glass bottle, grab a snack off a table instead of asking for some help. when there's nobody around. -hold something in a position of my liking. -it can relieve an itch, ahh, the simple things that aren't even thought about. It's really an amazing piece of finely tuned machinery, and the amount of possibility for new abilities. I’m going to need all the help I can get if Im going to acquire this helpful piece of equipment. It'll definitely give me some serious freedom, it may not be my human arm, but maybe the next best thing. I’ve tried it out and within the first 5 minutes I was able to grab a drinking glass off of a padded chair and safely move it towards my face and maneuver it to my mouth to take a sip of water. It can transfer from my chair, to a tripod that can be easily set up anywhere, I tried it setup on the side of my bed and it was incredible. Lightweight enough for most people to carry. I have a short video of myself using it after a 5 minute total setup and instructions. Really interesting incredible. Thanks for taking time to read, and please consider a donation))
