Send RoboScout Squad to the World Championship

RoboScout Squad is an all-girls FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team from Kalispell, MT. On March 5, 2022, they won the 2022 Montana State FIRST Tech Challenge Championship by earning both the Inspire Award and being the Winning Alliance Captian in the robot tournament. This earns them an invitation to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX April 18-25, 2022. They will learn from and compete with 159 US and international teams. Participation on the world stage is a once-in-a-lifetime educational opportunity that they will remember forever.

 

We have less than 6 weeks to fund the trip. Our estimates put the need at $25,000. This covers airfare, luggage fees, lodging, food, rental cars, gas, parking fees, robot parts, tournament registration, team uniforms, presentation supplies, large format print jobs, shipping equipment to and from Houston, banners, small trinkets to swap with other teams, and convention booth display representing both their team and the great state of Montana. We need to purchase the plane tickets as soon as possible.

 

These amazing young ladies are humbled, honored, and excited to represent the Flathead Valley and Montana at the FIRST World Championship. As a community, I’m sure we can get them there. Please share this everywhere. We are stronger together.

If we are fortunate enough to raise more funds than necessary for this experience, those funds will be used for the upcoming 2022-23 competition season.  An average season's expenses, with travel to 3 regional (MT/ID) tournaments are almost $5000.
