The US Olympic Trials begin in three months, and we need your help to take the next step toward our goal of winning a gold medal at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Our generous title sponsor, Kilroy Realty, will match every dollar donated up to $20,000. Your dollar’s impact will double, and together, we can raise $40,000. Steph and Maggie grew up sailing in the Midwest, and they share a lifelong aspiration to sail in the Olympics. After competing with and against each other for the last fifteen years in different boats, they started competing together full-time in 2016 on the 49erFX - a high-performance, double-handed female Olympic class boat.
2019 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
-Earned our first World Cup Series medals - bronze in Genoa, Italy.
-Qualified to represent Team USA at the Pan American Games in Peru.
-Qualified to represent the US Sailing Team at the Olympic Test Event in Japan.
-Sailed in every medal race (top 10) of the 2019 World Cup Series.
-#1 ranked 49erFX team on US Sailing Team & #12 in the World
OLYMPIC TRIALS: 5 REGATTAS, 4 COUNTRIES, 1 OLYMPIC BERTH
The Pan American Games, in Paracas, Peru, will be our opportunity to qualify the United States for the berth at the Olympics. Then we will travel straight to Japan to kick off the US Trials with the Olympic Test Event and World Cup Series Japan - both on the Olympic waters of Enoshima. The trials will conclude with two World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia. You can read more about the US Olympic Trials system here .
To be competitive at these events, we need to purchase three sets of new sails and cover costs for our three-person team to travel and compete for six months. Also we hired Giulia Conti, a four-time Italian Olympian, as our full-time coach, and with her, we've created a successful team!

$50 - fuels the team with food for one competition day
$150 - provides one night of housing for the team
$500 - registration entry fee for one regatta
$1,250 - airfare for one sailor to an international event
