This past year, Robin spent six-and-a half months on IV antibiotic treatments, some twice a day, with a PICC line in her arm delivering the medicine to an area right above her heart. The treatment was expensive and not covered by insurance, but she did get some benefit from it.
While she did receive some benefit, the disease is still in her and is starting to interfere with her daily life. In the time since, other medicines have not worked and she has to go back on the IV medications.
I am setting up this GoFundMe for her, and ask that if you can contribute in any way to please do so. Your generosity will be appreciated and will go directly to the next round of treatments which is expected to be 14 days of heavy-duty antibiotics, delivered via IV at her doctor’s office. The treatment is expected to cost between $5,000 and $10,000. Doctors report good results from this treatment, but the cost is prohibitive for us. And with daily fevers and extreme pain, the situation is urgent.
Thank you for anything that you can contribute! And please feel free to forward to anyone that might be interested in contributing.
