We are creating this gofundme page for our mom, Robin Goolsby. This past week she fell ill out of the blue. A once healthy, young, retiree (NYC Corrections) is now in dire need of a liver replacement.
She is suffering from acute liver failure. As of right now she is on a ventilator in order to assist with her breathing. She has medical insurance however, they will not cover all the costs needed to supply her daily post- transplant medications. A year's supply of medication will cost $170k in order to keep her new liver from being rejected by her immune system.
If you know or ever met Robin, you know she is one of the most sassiest, strong-minded and strong-willed women. She is definitely putting up a fight but my brothers and I ask that you find it in your hearts to meet her halfway through the battle.
