Robin Gay – noun - Christian, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Friend, Confidant, Counselor, Strength, Courage, Ambassador, Leader.
Robin, although she can be defined by all the words mentioned afore, can also be described as a victim to cancer. Robin has heard the words, “You have cancer” now three times. This past November, Robin once again heard those dreaded words. She was told that the cancer is now in her bones and that she would require a very isolated treatment. This treatment is not in the United States as of yet but will be here sometime in 2018. The doctors overseeing Robin’s care have advised her not to wait until it becomes available here but to travel to Switzerland to have the treatment immediately.
As mentioned above, Robin is a wife and a mother to a beautiful 13 year old daughter, who is the breath that gives life to her mother! This trip to Switzerland will not only be very taxing on Robin, her daughter and her mother, as they will be accompanying her, but it will also be very expensive. We are asking for you to look deep within, and if you are able to do so, please contribute to help ease this burden for Robin and her family.
Robin would never ask for anything, however that is what we as Christians, as friends, as communities, and as teammates are commissioned to do is to help our neighbors. If you are unable to give at this time, we covet your prayers and your well wishes for Robin and her family as they undertake yet another trying time together!
