Robin Blankenship Memorial Fund

I am starting this go fund me fundraiser for my best friend’s husband Ryan Blankenship and son Jaxon because their lives have been forever changed by a tragic accident that took her life. Saturday morning our lives changed with a devistating phone call, Robin Blankenship had been hit head on by a driver who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She and her son Jaxon had gone out for a quick trip to the store to get a few groceries when they were hit. She died on the scene , and her son Jaxon was taken to New Hanover Medical Center In critical condition. Jaxon is a fighter , he is strong like his mother was. He is still in critical but stable condition. Jaxon suffered a decompression fracture and had a very large laceration across his head, he has nasal fractures and has underwent neuro surgery to fix the decompression fracture as well as they can. The doctors are optimistic about the outcomes for Jaxon but it will take time to allow his brain to heal to see if there was any permanate damage. This go fund me fundraiser is to help with Robins funeral expenses as she didn’t have life insurance. This will help her husband and family while they are staying at the hospital with Jaxon, with food expenses, gas etc. As life has stopped for us at this time we know life outside of what’s happening in our worlds has not , bills still come In and must be paid so this will help while Ryan is out of work. Anything left over after Jaxon is Home will go to Jaxons college  fund . Robin was beautiful inside and out she was intelligent and such a hard worker. She was compassionate, loved her job and what she did working with Veterans. She was a dedicated and loving wife and an amazing mother, Jaxon was her life. Our friendship was beautiful , like Lucy and Ethel we have been inseparable for over half our lives and I will never be the same with her gone , she was such a huge part of who I am.  Robin changed so many peoples lives , she had so many friends who she loved dearly and never meet a stranger. She could make anyone smile with her jokes and amazing personality. You couldn’t meet Robin and  not love her instantly .My heart is broken for her Husband Ryan , he’s devistated but hasn’t left Jaxons side.  If you can not donate at this time we ask if you just please say a prayer, we really need all the prayers we can get right now. Life without her seems impossible for us all , but some how we will get through this and live everyday in her memory with her in our hearts.
