Robert's car accident

Robert was in a pretty horrific car accident August 19th. He has a fractures vertebra in his neck, five fractured ribs, fractured shoulder blade and collar bone, and a small splenic bleed. We is projected to be in the hospital for another few days and out from work for 6 weeks to 3 months. The neck fracture should heal on its own. If they find that it isn't they will fuse his neck. This could have been a lot worse than it actually was. As an EMT and volunteer fire fighter, Robert has been on the saving end of this situation, and being on the receiving end now is proving hard for him. I am working and will be taking on more hours at work but we just cannot survive without his income. I thought long and hard about doing this and am not one to accept charity but I have my boys to think about. I'm trying to keep thinks as normal as possible for them.
