Roberto & Family Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Roberto is a 23 year old hard working, cheerful and respectful man with his life as a new father ahead of him. Tragedy struck in the early hours of Thursday morning, the 13th of July, on Highland Ave near Wilshire Blvd at a time when traffic was extremely light, on a street where speeds were around 35 MPH.  As a result of an automobile accident, Roberto is undergoing multiple surgeries, and suffers broken bones in 75% of his body.  An accident like this could happen to ANYONE, at ANYTIME.

Roberto is someone that has built relationships and is well liked and appreciated among co-workers, clients and anyone that meets him. Roberto and his family have a very long hard road to recovery ahead. In a matter of minutes their lives were changed and hospitals, surgeries, special needs and rehabilition are rapidly becoming their new reality. All of which carry a very heavy cost, not only financially but emotionally as well. When a tragedy like this happens to one of us, our hearts are heavy and we must pull together in this moment. We set up this page to help the family not only with medical expenses but also with additional financial burdens that this tragic accident will bring.

Within hours of the news of his accident, the waiting room at Cedars-Sinai was filled with friends and family. This is a testament of how Roberto has manifested a positive presence in this world. Please, join us in helping Roberto and his family in this difficult time, by donating to Roberto’s Go Fund Me to help alleviate the expenses  his family will face.

Please keep Roberto, his wife, Abigail, and their infant son, Issac in your prayers.

We will update this page with information as we receive it.

Updates from the Hospital

7/14/17: He had two surgeries yesterday to stop internal bleeding and last night he had a third surgery to release pressure on his brain. Right now the medical team's focus is to keep him stable. Possible long term damages and assessment of his spinal cord will be determined when he is in a stable condition . Today he opened his eyes briefly but he is still heavily sedated and far from being out of the woods. The next few days will be critical to his survival.
