Now widow of 10 kids, no retirement

Donation protected

Robert David Edlund, age 57, loving husband and father of 10 children, was taken unexpectedly July 13th in a semi truck accident, by no fault of his own.  He was cleaning his vehicle when he was hit and trapped between his own truck and another unaware driver.  We can't believe he is gone.  It does not seem real.  He still has three teenagers living at home.  Robert was a great example of service and hard work.  He worked as a carpenter nearly his whole life until at the age of 56, when his thumb was removed in a carpentry accident.  At that time he changed his career to truck driving with his oldest son, Jacob.  With his new career he hoped to save enough money to fulfill his dream of building a fourplex on a plot of land he owned behind his house.   Perhaps his eight sons can help fulfill that dream in the future as a way to support his widowed wife.  Robert was a “give-the-shirt-off-his-back” type of man.  He loved holding babies, serving his family and neighbors, and helping out within his local religious group.  He enjoyed trying small hobbies like bee keeping, maintaining fish aquariums, and collecting inspiring art.  He always loved reading and writing poetry.  He loved his grandchildren and could always be found holding a baby.  What an inspiring man.  We miss him so much.

We are unsure what our 60 year old mom will do at this time. Our parents have no retirement or life insurance.  With three children still at home (ages 15, 16, and 17) our mother will need to get a job and the older children will need to help as much as possible.  Please help my mother towards her retirement as we know it will be hard for her to get a good job at age 60. Even if you can't donate please pray, meditate, or hope for the best as we help our mother and younger siblings as they have little financial security.  They lived mostly from paycheck to paycheck.

Goal
First - $10,000 to help with any funeral expenses
Second - $10,000 to help with immediate living expenses until our mother finds employment
Third - $35,000 to help with previous medical expenses our dad was still slowly paying off for this thumb removal and for whatever is charged for the last several hours of his life when he was taken to the hospital after the semi-accident.
The rest - put into a trust fund to be distributed as needed over time and act as her retirement.
