Kurty and Robert's expenses

A year ago Robert moved to San Diego to be closer to his sister and enjoy the amazing weather. 2 weeks later, he went to urgent care to remedy a cough. When he saw the doctor he got a diagnosis that none of us were ready for... Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Robert has kept his spirits up and fought through many rounds of chemo, radiation, and many many hospital visits. Through all of this his sister (DJ Kurty as we all know her) has been his biggest support and his sole Caregiver. Kurty found a place to live for both of them so she could be his main provider physically and financially.
Just this week we got news none of us wanted to hear. The cancer is spreading and is aggressive. Robert now needs to go into hospice as the Dr has given him only a few months to live. While we are all devastated by this news, we are committed to living life with Robert during this time. As many families who have endured this before, the financial toll is heavy. Linda (Kurty) is working so hard and making sure everything is paid. But when she needs to work she has to leave and travel. In an ideal world Linda would like to just spend this precious time with Robert and not worry about finances.
This is where we all come in. These two have affected all of us so positively. If you have ever gone to one of Kurty's DJ shows or danced at a Facebook pride parade then you know that she spends a lot of her energy making sure others are having a great time even if things are hard. You go to a club, hear her music, feel her energy and all is ok. If you have ever seen Robert do his country line dancing, then you have seen the pure joy of happiness it brings him and those who watch him.
This is our time to give back to them both. All this money will go to their living and medical (lots of expensive copays) expenses so Linda and Robert can just enjoy this time of living and love together. Thank you for reading this and thank you for whatever you can give.
