Rally 4 Robert Vicich Med Expenses

Donation protected
I noticed changes in Rob's behavior a few months ago. He was blank, void of emotion. His speech was off and was starting to have tremors in his left hand. He decided to go dirt bike riding with his son on August 25th. I was worried and went to the track a few hours later. I was stunned to see that he could not even keep the bike upright, he dumped it over 4 times. ( He has been riding for the better part of 40 years ) I decided at that moment that something was seriously wrong.

I took him to Nebraska Medicine the next morning, nothing could prepare me for what I was going to learn. My husband Robert of almost 30 years had a large brain tumor in the Frontal Lobe of his brain. He was admitted immediately to the hospital and they did many tests and scans to see exactly what we were dealing with.

That Tuesday they did Phase one of the brain surgery to stem the flow of blood that was going to a very vascular tumor the size of an ORANGE, which entailed temporarily blocking the veins that were feeding this large tumor. Phase two was done 12 hours later where they removed the tumor via a full Craniotomy. He was sent to ICU and then down to the 6th Floor Neuro wing where he spent the next 8 days.

I was lucky enough to bring him home yesterday, but we have a lot of obstacles to overcome to get him on the Road to recovery! He needs 24-hour supervision, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Cognitive Therapy.

I never thought I would EVER ask for help, but our situation is dire, our deductible is $5,000.00 and he will only receive a partial salary from his short-term disability,  and almost half of the money he receives will go to keep his medical insurance policy current. They estimate the recovery time to be 4 months. We are hopeful, buy the grace of God, he will make a full recovery, but there are no guarantees at this point.  Your generous donations will go for our deductible, medical expenses, and household expenses. He will receive one more check from his employer.  No donation is too small and we appreciate any and all help we receive.

Please help me help my husband recover!
