Robert Tolan Medical Expense Fund

On January 25th at about 4 p.m., my father (who you may know as Robert Tolan Sr.) had taken his daily drive to the dog park only to leave in an ambulance shortly thereafter. During his visit he fell suddenly and suffered what would become multiple seizures. He arrived at Arroyo Grande Hospital unconscious and unresponsive. While the doctors and nurses in the ER and now the ICU have worked around the clock to stabilize him, we still are not sure what has caused this sudden accident and his doctors are calling his condition 'critical'. He is still unconscious at this time. I jumped on the first flight home to run to his bedside, only to become absolutely devastated to see him hooked up to multiple machines and tubes, barely able to breath normally.
But I can't stand and wait. What I've come to admire about my hometown is its unique sense of community and warmth. Robert is a pillar of this community, having spent many hours dedicated to others in need for years through Welcome Home Military Heroes. So, I have decided to step a bit outside my comfort zone in order to support my family during this crisis with a GoFundMe page. My mother is much too humble to ask for help of any kind and I would like to do so for her. She's about to encounter the kind of medical bills nightmares are made out of ... all while she sits in the ICU waiting room wondering if her husband will live. My intention here is to hopefully get my Mother's mind off of the impending medical bills and maybe even off her personal monthly bills for right now as she focuses on my Father's critical condition instead.
Anyone who is unable to give financially may also find that food of any kind would be greatly appreciated. My mother has not left my father's side and therefore has barely had a bite to eat. As a solution, I am currently focusing on stocking her cabinets and her fridge so that she may come home, regardless of what may happen, to an abundance of nourishment. Any help towards this goal would be greatly appreciated as I've just spent a large sum on a last minute ticket from Seattle to San Jose (worth it) and am unable to provide this on my own.
