So, as some of you may have heard I had minor set back at work about a week ago. The big hangar door decide to give way and get up close and personal with both of my ankles. Late Saturday afternoon I was fortunate enough to hangout with foot and ankle specialist Dr. Ferguson in surgery for 5 hours. His focus was on the right side ankle as he repaired the ligaments and installed a small plate along with a hand full of screws. In a couple of weeks I will be back for an arthroscopic surgery to get some bone shatter removed from the left ankle. Doc said on an intensity scale, the right side repair was a 9/10 and the left is only about a 1/10. I was pleased to hear I will only have to stay off the left leg for 6 weeks, but I will have to stay off the right side for 3 months. It may seem like a long road to recovery but I am doing my part one day at a time. I have heard several times my positive cheery attitude will greatly help the recovery process. Some days it can seem somewhat easy with all the help, love, support, food, snacks, gifts and most of all, the visits. It all means so much to me and really keeps my sprits up. I have been joking about hoping the hospital does not evict me due to all of the visitors, and I might need a to rent a moving truck when I am released. I feel so loved, cared for, missed and appreciated. A simple thanks to all doesn’t seem like it is nearly enough, but thank you, thank you so much. Truly blessed to be surrounded by good people. I’m gunna make it, all the way
