In Remembrance of Robert Landry

Donation protected

For those of you who may not know, on December 17th, 2020 my grandpa, Robert Landry, very suddenly passed away from complications caused by COVID-19. My grandpa served from 1962 to 1966 in the Vietnam War in the US Navy and recently got the opportunity to fly back to Washington DC to see his memorials and receive honor for his service. My grandpa brought courage and fight to every aspect of his life. No matter what he was going through he never failed to make his family feel loved. He will always be remembered as a great husband, father, and grandfather.

As a disabled veteran unable to work, the benefits he received from the military assisted in keeping him and my grandma in their east Bakersfield home for these past few years. His widow, Debbie Landry, was his primary caretaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her husband to make sure he got to every doctors appointment, and kept him on track with his insulin and medication to keep him healthy. With his passing, my grandma lost not only her husband and best friend, but was left without any source of steady income. As soon as my grandpa stopped breathing, the veteran disability benefits that kept them afloat for so long, stopped immediately. I am reaching out to anyone who is willing to help me bring any type of stability we can back into my grandmas life.

Please donate anything you can to help my grandma make this difficult transition in her life. If you cannot donate, just sharing this means the world. Thank you to everyone in advance for your love and support. We appreciate it all more than you know❤️
