Firefighter Specialist Robert Brantley lost his battle with cancer today. He had been fighting this fight for the better part of a year.
He was known as "Yo" to us at Fire Station 105 where he worked for many years. Yo was always smiling and had a positive can do attitude 24/7. Yo has been a member of the Los Angeles County Fire Dept. for over 18 years working in the Operations Bureau at several Fire Houses around Los Angeles. Prior to his LACoFD service, he worked as a Federal Firefighter at Marine Corps Air Station Tustin and proudly served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife and son.
Robert's family has an immediate need for financial assistance during this difficult time.
