The Story So Far...

Elena is from Romania while her husband Jason is from America.

Elena and Jason met online 4 years ago. A shared passion for reading humorus authors led to their paths crossing. A new dog led to the first of many long skype conversations. Two years ago, Jason went to Romania to marry Elena. At the time, Jason had a good job and they thought they would be together six months later. 


However, while in Romania, Jason's boss declared bankruptcy and Jason lost his job.

It has been difficult to find a new job in todays economy and Jason has taken to earning money from odd jobs like audio, photo and video editing. Unfortunatly, this has not provided the money to qualify him to bring Elena to the United States.

So, every moment of everyday, Jason and Elena spend  thier time on Facetime and Skype just to be together. But it is not enough.

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

The other day they were doing some research and figured out a solution they did not see previously. 

While it is quite costly to live in America and even more so if you want to bring a foreign spouse, the cost to bring Jason to Romania and the cost of living in Romania is significantly lower.

Help this loving couple be together and donate to their future. If you believe in love, you should believe they need to be together.

Questions

I have been asked, what exactly is your plan when you get there? Do you have a workable business plan? Goals? And what happens to my donation if you do not reach your goal? How is the 10, 000 going to be used?

These are all good questions. Questions I could not answer a year ago.

A Refocus

Until now we have focused on getting Elena here with me. That means I would have to be making about $2000 a month or have $100,000 worth in assets. We worked on getting me a livable wage for the last two years and due to the economy or my lack of a formal education, I have been unable to survive, much less get Elena here.

However, we have recently refocused our efforts. After many hours of research we have discovered that Elena only needs to be making $500 a month or have $5000 in the bank to bring me there. We began to consider this option and found that we can live like middle class citizens in Romania on $1000 a month. In addition to this, I can leave as soon as we have the money and we can apply for my visa while I am there with her. These are the numbers that led us to make this decision.

The Short Term Plan

Our focus now is to get me there and start the paperwork to get long term residency. Because we are married, we need only to get the money in here account, get an apartment and fly myself and our dog Gaspode to Romania.

The Mid Term Plan

Elena and I are already working on getting multiple streams of revenue coming in. We are blogging and using affiliate marketing to gain multiple recurring streams of revenue from selling other peoples items online. Within six to eight months, we should be able to reach our goal of $1000 a month.

In addition to these passive streams of revenue that will continue to grow and be added to on a daily basis, Elena and I will be utilizing our creative and technical skills to earn money. I will be offering video and audio editing services as well as lessons in guitar and echometry. I will also be creating content in Adobe After Effects that can be customized and sold to multiple people online. These will also create additional recurring streams of revenue.

The Long Term Plan

As we build our passive streams of income to our goals we will be buying more equipment for our own personal production company. With my experience in film and editing at KXSR I feel I have the knowledge and technical skill to build a company from the ground up. We will focus on music videos for local bands and weddings and eventually corporate events.

As we build our portfolio and our streams of revenue, we hope to move back to America and see if we can be successful here.

The Breakdown

So, the $10,000 will be used to buy us the time we need to build our revenue streams. The move to Romania allows us to be able to afford to live comfortably on as little as $500 a month.

Our goal is purposefully set a little high. We want to make sure nothing is keeping us from attaining our goals. If we can reach $7500, I will still be able to leave after the first of the year. Money will be tight but we can do it. Nothing is going to stop us. We are more determined than ever to meet our goals and meet them soon. If we do not make what we need, all money will be returned in full.

We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Please help keep the light on and donate or share so we can get the word out.
