Luckily, Brianna, Martin, Olivia (age 4), Ivy (age 2) and Booboo were able to leave the house safely - but unfortunately their home is no longer habitable and all of their belongings are gone. Not a single possession could be saved due to the fire and smoke damage.
The Roberge family are now temporarily staying with family – about 20 minutes away from where they lived - but need our help to try to get back on their feet. Their family and friends are already starting to drop off clothing, but many people have been asking about how to get funds to them now.
I have put a goal of $5,000 in hopes to give some quick financial relief to them while they try to figure out where to even start - insurance, basic food and long term shelter, refiling for documents like birth certificates lost in the fire, as well as coordinating getting the girls to and from school/daycare.
Brianna started as our family dental hygienist several years ago, but quickly has become a dear friend and touchstone while we both were on maternity leave at the same time in 2016. Anyone that knows her, Martin or their amazing girls, knows that they are the epitome of joy and kindness and are always there to help anyone - so now is the time we can come together to help them, even just a little, try to rebuild.
Anything you can give to help this amazing family is more than appreciated.
