Robbie's Return

In May of 2014, I received a phone call that changed my life forever. I was diagnosed with Stage 2a breast cancer. After the myriad of surgeries, treatments, doctor visits, and a period of remission, the cancer reappeared with a vengeance, to lymph nodes in my chest and nodules in my lungs. I am currently, and permanently, diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. The first treatment worked for over a year. Then the tumors spread into the pleural lining of my left lung. I've been hospitalized 3 times in the past 4 months, with multiple procedures for draining the accumulation of fluid. My lung collapsed a few days after the first procedure; I had a very close, less than 2 inch, call with death. Finally, my brilliant lung surgeon was able to perform a procedure that essentially sealed the lung lining. I'm now recovering from that surgery and realizing that I'm going to need more support in the next phase of this battle.
Let me tell you that emotionally and spiritually,I have the greatest support team a person could ever imagine. Real warriors.
Reality dictates that I'm entering a phase of war where I'll need some physical assistance at times ; I need to be back in the Bluegrass, near family and trusted friends, where I can get that backup. I need new battle headquarters!
Because of the staggering medical costs, I'm humbly asking for your help in moving from Florida back to Kentucky. I'm hoping to move to Lexington by the end of February.
