Robbie’s Fundraiser for Turning Point NI

Some people may not know this about me others will, I’ve battled my mental health for the past 6 years. I’ve been in and out of counselling and on and off different types of medication.

 

The pandemic affected me more than I ever imagined. I lost myself I pushed the ones I loved the most away and I got into a really bad rut which I just couldn’t shake off. Back in July it got to the point where I gave up, I tried to take my own life. I had it all planned out I never ever thought I’d get that low and I never want to again. Thankfully it didn’t work and I’m still here. I never ever thought it would happen but at that time I lost myself completely. Now I’ve came out of 12 weeks with Turning Point but I want to help raise awareness for men’s mental health.

 

Ive decided to climb the Slieve Donald with a few of my friends on my birthday the 14th of November.

 

I can safely say if it wasn’t for Turning Point NI and especially Sarah I wouldn’t be here today. I’ve bounced in and out of counselling on and off tablets, a good few weeks bad a few more weeks but this times different this time im determined to work hard and never get that low again.

 

A massive thank you to all my friends and family for all the support over the past few weeks but now it’s time for me to give something back to Turning Point
