Robbie Strautnieks’s Funeral

Donation protected
My father had a stroke back in April and had to be put on a lot of mediation to prevent having another one. The blocker was giving him terrible anxiety and depression. He repeatedly kept going to the doctors for help because he didn’t feel like himself anymore and no longer could do the things he loved. He kept reaching out for help from everyone to get advice because he wanted to be better and feel like himself again. My mother took him to UNC hospital Friday and my father told them how he felt and that he was scared to go home and be by himself while my mother worked third shift. They told him that he could get on a new depression medicine and try it out for three weeks and then they’d check him in somewhere if he still needed help. But he couldn’t wait that long. All of the racing thoughts overthinking about bills and being a burden on his family caused him to commit suicide Wednesday morning. This was not something that we would’ve ever imagined would happen because he was always such a happy and outgoing man. He loved his family and put us first. My parents were already struggling financially and now the family is left having to come up with the money for his funeral. We want something nice for him because he deserved it so much and we appreciate any help we can get. Thank you in advance to anyone who helps.
