Flood damage and recovery effort

The day after Christmas my wife and I were in bed about to go to sleep when we decided to check one last time at the rainfall outside.  She gasped and told me to look, and there was water all the way up to our house, engulfing our HVAC unit. One entire corner of our house was under water and it leaked in through the foundation and our entire floor plan is now effected. Our neighborhood was a foot under water and the street wasn't even visible all of Saturday night. With this recent damage we are having to put off my wife going to grad school because we just can't afford it. I'm a recent college grad and still working part time, there isn't a lot of money coming in.

We are trying to raise money because insurance won't cover any of the damages (go figure), and we're only raising what we need to replace in the house, which is mostly flooring and maybe some of the sheetrock, baseboards, etc. This would help us tremendously to avoid permanent damage to our house and we don't want to ring in the New Year (and our first as newly weds!) displaced from our home, which we've only lived in for one year.
