Rob's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
In May of this year, Rob started feeling sick, sick enough to call into work and if you know Rob at all, you'll know that he very rarely gets sick. Days passed but he kept getting worse, pain in his chest and stomach and eventually vomiting and jaundice. He was hospitalized for 5 days where they found a blocked biliary duct and placed a plastic stent to open the duct. It helped for a bit but then he started feeling sick again. He was sent to an excellent GI doctor who performed an EUS/ERCP, basically he replaced the earlier stent with a permanent metal one. That's when a tumor was found on the head of Rob's pancreas. After MANY more doctor visits, numerous scans (MRI, CT & PT) and two biopsies, Rob was diagnosed with stage 2b pancreatic cancer. He'll begin a rigorous regimen of chemotherapy/radiation for about seven months. After that, if the chemo has shrunk the tumor enough, he'll have an extremely dangerous surgery to remove part or all of his pancreas.

Rob is the sole provider of our family. I've been absolutely blessed to be able to stay at home with our boys: Philip who's 20, John 17 and a senior in high school and Matt who's 12. We are getting a small amount through the disability from Rob's work but it's just not enough to make ends meet. Any little bit helps our family to pay the bills so that Rob isn't stressed about our finances and can use all of his strength to get better. And if you can't donate money, we completely understand, please just pray for him! We'll welcome all the prayers just as much.
