Rob Spencer passed from a heart attack at 31 years old an hour after he played 80 hard minutes in a Rugby game for Dener Queen City Rugby Club, 9/23/2017. Rob had scored a game winning try in his last game as he shed multiple tacklers for a 40 meter try.  Rob earned the award of Rookie of the year in his first year 2016 within the Queen City Club.
Anyone who knew Rob and speaking on behalf of all his teammates, would say he was the nicest person in the club. He was full of smiles, always had a positive attitude, and would always compliment or go out of his way to say hi and ask how you were doing. If you were a stranger of Rob and came upon his presence he would have probably complimented you on your shirt or go out of his way to say hello or give a kind nod. Simply said, Rob was a great soul.  Rob was not only a great athlete, he was a talented artist, where he enjoyed playing music and the perfoming arts where he acted in a number of plays.
Queen City Rugby Club is kindly reaching out to the rugby community and all others asking for help in providing  proper service and support to the Spencer familiy as they grieve from their unexpected loss. Rob will be truly missed:(
