Hello friends and family! It's been 6 weeks since my dad underwent surgery to remove his Intramedullary Spinal Cord Tumor. Even though his tumor and subsequent surgery caused NTSCI (Non-traumatic Spinal Cord Injury) leaving him with Incomplete Quadriplegia, we are so grateful that he is with us today and for the hope that there could be significant recovery! We are overwhelmed by all of the love and support from family and friends. We have been asked many times if there is anything that could be done in addition to prayers. This is a way to support if you feel impressed to do so. Although my dad has come a long way physically over the past several weeks, he still has a long way to go and requires assistance for all of his basic needs. In addition to medical expenses that far exceed this goal amount alone, they have needs that change week to week as every day brings a "new normal". Our desire is to help him gain as much independence as possible, whether by increasing his physical abilities through physical, occupational and other alternative therapies or by the aid of equipment/technology. My mom is the only caregiver for my dad and my grandma, so she is pretty much on her own even though family is helping out when possible. To provide her with some financial assistance in order to get the help she needs would be such a blessing. Thank you in advance for considering helping through this avenue!
