Rob Ford's Emergency Medical Fund

Donation protected
Our brother, Rob Ford (39 years young), is desperately needing medical treatment for an extremely rare disease. After months of testing and medical speculations he was recently diagnosed with Primary AL Amyloidosis. There is NO CURE for this unusual and rare disease but with specific treatment the disease can slow down. The typical treatment Amyloidosis is rounds of chemotherapy, organ or marrow transplants, (including stem cell transplant).

As a husband and father of four children (three under 16), Rob has no income (due to the progression of this disease) and no medical insurance. The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is one of only two places (closest to us) in the United States that study and treats this disease. They have agreed to see him Wednesday, June 14th. However, in order to be seen for the appointment the Mayo Clinic requires $5,000.00 for those without insurance or those with any type of government issued plans, and an additional $1,000.00 for travel expenses.

We are desperately seeking the generosity and support from family, friends, and even the kindness of strangers to help us raise the funds needed for our brother to receive treatment. Any amount that can be donated is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. If you aren’t able to donate, please send prayers for our brother and family in this very scary and unpredictable time.
