Rob Bertrand's New Kidney

Rob Bertrand is a loving father, partner, brother, uncle, and friend. He is a deep-rooted member of the Peninsula community and his work as a skilled carpenter has brought many dream homes into fruition. Rob has been facing many health issues head-on for about 30 years now, and unfortunately his medications have won the war on his kidneys. Rob has been scheduled for a kidney transplant operation in Vancouver in February 2018. This procedure will require him to take up temporary residence in Vancouver, BC - to be close to St. Paul's Hospital for the many follow up appointments he will undergo.


With a kidney donor now found for my father, I am asking for support from the community, to help alleviate the financial burden of living and travel expenses for the six-month recovery period after his operation.

I understand this GoFundMe page has a big goal, but it is to support someone who is a big part of many people's lives. Rob is one of the kindest and most selfless human beings in this world. If you have been fortunate enough to interact with him, (whether he's Rob, Robbie, Dad, or Papa B to you), you have likely witnessed firsthand his selfless nature, his knack for crib, and his loving relationships with his friends and family.
