Roanoke River Dog Park

As avid dog lovers, we are really excited about an upcoming project! The Roanoke River Dog Park! The Town already owns the property but we still need your help. We are in need of $10,000 to assist with the purchase of the fencing, benches, signage and a water fountain for both man and man's best friend.
In addition to giving man's best friend a place to play and get some exercise, we also see this as a means of getting beach travelers off of Hwy 64 and into our beautiful dog friendly downtown.
What we have going for us - we already own the property, it's situated in a beautiful park, right on the Roanoke River and within walking distance of our museums and our historic downtown. We have access to water, shade, restrooms (for our doggy parents) and plenty of parking for visitors. There is also a wonderful riverside nature trail with boardwalks leading out over the river.
