<div>Olá, o meu nome é Catarina Nunes e sou jogadora profissional de squash.

<div>O SQUASH é uma modalidade desportiva muito praticada em Portugal como atividade de lazer e menos conhecida no âmbito da competição.
</div>
<div>O facto de ter sido considerada modalidade olímpica a integrar nos Jogos Olímpicos de Los Angeles em 2028, trouxe um alento grande aos seus praticantes e a expectativa de um maior desenvolvimento da modalidade em Portugal.

<div>É nesta circunstância que estou determinada a dar o passo seguinte na minha carreira de jogadora de Squash, de forma a dedicar-me exclusivamente ao squash. Aos 15 anos, fui a mais jovem Campeã Nacional Absoluta e desde aí já conquistei dez títulos de Campeã Nacional, o último esta época. Também, desde os 11 anos, tenho integrado sempre a Seleção Nacional de Squash. Esta experiência deu-me a conhecer a grande dimensão e prestígio de que a modalidade goza a nível internacional, e fez-me perceber que o sonho de ser jogadora profissional de Squash é algo que merece ser tornado realidade.

<div>Apesar de me sentir abençoada pelo suporte que a minha família me tem dado até hoje, sei que para concretizar esse projeto não é suficiente e que preciso de mais apoios que suportem a logística inerente à participação em torneios internacionais, assim como o serviço dos profissionais envolvidos na minha carreira desportiva.
</div>
<div>Com este projeto, o meu propósito vai além da realização pessoal, pelo que acredito que o sucesso do mesmo poderá ter um efeito positivo não só na promoção da modalidade em Portugal, mas também um incentivo para o desenvolvimento de mais iniciativas que visem uma cultura desportiva de valor para a sociedade, a começar pelos mais jovens!

<div>A caminhada já começou, com o apoio da Federação Nacional de Squash inscrevi-me na Professional Squash Association (PSA) que me permite competir nos torneios profissionais e evoluir até ao nível que permita a qualificação para os Jogos Olímpicos. Neste momento, encontro-me no lugar 143 do ranking mundial e, sendo jovem que acredita que os sonhos comandam a vida, porque não sonhar com o apuramento e até… com a medalha!

<div>Atendendo ao nível desportivo atingido e não havendo recursos suficientes em Portugal disponíveis para alcançar os meus objetivos, tomei a decisão de começar a treinar 5 dias por semana em Santiago de Compostela na academia Golàn Squash Academy. Desta forma, as despesas consistem não só no pagamento dos serviços da academia como também a estadia e alimentação.

<div><strong>Despesas Previstas:</strong>
</div>
<div>Viagens, estadia e alimentação nos torneios do circuito da Professional Squash Association (PSA)
</div>
<div>Considerando as anteriores participações, cada torneio do circuito profissional representa um custo médio de cerca 350€ em viagens e 300€ em alojamento, num total de pelo menos 8450€ anuais.

<div>Hi, my name is Catarina Nunes and I’m a professional squash player.
</div>

</div>
<div>SQUASH is a sport that is widely practiced in Portugal as a leisure activity and is less well known in competition.
</div>
<div>The fact that it has been considered an Olympic sport to be included in the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028 has given its players great encouragement and the expectation that the sport will develop further in Portugal.
</div>

<div>It is in these circumstances that I am determined to take the next step in my career as a squash player. At the age of 15, I was the youngest Absolute National Champion and since then I've won ten National Champion titles, the latest this season. I've also been a member of the National Squash Team since I was 11. This experience made me aware of the great dimension and prestige that the sport enjoys at international level, and made me realize that the dream of being a professional squash player is something that deserves to come true.

<div>Although I feel blessed by the support that my family has given me so far, I know that it's not enough to make this project a reality and that I need more support to cover the logistics involved in taking part in international tournaments, as well as the services of the professionals involved in my sporting career.
</div>
<div>With this project, my purpose goes beyond personal fulfillment, so I believe that the success of this project could have a positive effect not only on the promotion of the sport in Portugal, but also an incentive for the development of more initiatives aimed at a sporting culture of value to society, starting with the youngest!
</div>

<div>The journey has already begun. With the support of the National Squash Federation, I joined the Professional Squash Association (PSA), which allows me to compete in professional tournaments and progress to the level that will allow me to qualify for the Olympic Games. As a young person who believes that dreams rule life, why not dream of qualifying and even... a medal!
