THE ROAD TO MALTA 
 
We are a dedicated and ambitious women’s team who have proudly qualified for the Nordic Trophy in Malta this May after an incredible performance at the qualifiers in Antwerp this December. 
 
We faced off against <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sirensasc_waterpolo/target=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrer" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Malta Sirens</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/antwerpse.waterpolo/target=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrer" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Antwerp</a>, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sslazionuoto/target=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrertarget=_blankrel=noreferrer" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Lazio</a>, earned our place among Europe’s top teams and we’re determined to represent with pride.

Why We’re Fundraising 
 
Competing at this level is an amazing opportunity, but it comes with significant costs, covered ENTIRELY by the girls themselves and any funds we raise, including:

<li>Local transport and logistics
</li>
<li>Referee costs 
</li>
</ul> 
Travelling abroad to play at European level is a dream, but sadly one that isn’t possible without community support. 
 
This competition will:

<li>Help grow women’s sport and visibility 
</li>
<li>Inspire our younger players coming up behind (and with!) us 
</li>
<li>Allow us to compete at one of the highest levels available to our team 
</li>

Our Challenge: Swimming to Malta… and Back! ️ 
 
To make our journey to the Nordic Trophy even more meaningful, our team has set ourselves an ambitious challenge: 

We’re aiming to collectively swim the distance from to Malta and back: 7,020 km between now and May ️ 
 
Every training session, every length, every metre will count toward this massive distance. We’ll be sharing:

❤️ Photos and videos of our progress 

❤️ Stories from the swimmers taking part 
 
This challenge isn’t just a fundraiser - it’s a way for us to push ourselves as we get swim fit, stay connected as a team, and give everyone following along a chance to be part of the journey. 

We also want this campaign to make a difference beyond our own competition goals. 25% of all funds raised will be donated to <a href="https://www.activityalliance.org.uk/target=_blankrel=noreferrer" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Activity Alliance</a>, supporting the incredible work they do
