Road Rage Shooting of 96th Street

Donation protected
Thursday, November 17th Daniel (age 22) was going to the grocery store to get some snacks around 8:30 PM. He noticed a car in front of him at a light that wasn’t moving and idling sitting there. At that point, he honked his horn (as anyone would do) and drove around the vehicle.

At this point, the stalled driver began following and chasing Daniel around the Meijer parking lot on 96th street in Fishers, IN. Daniel noticed the driver following him, started to panic, and tried to get away from him. Unfortunately, being held up at the light was when things turned into Daniel’s worst nightmare, as the driver following him (who has now been identified as Trevor Dahl, 24, of Noblesville) began open firing multiple times with a .9mm gun at Daniel, resulted in a gunshot wound in Daniel’s right leg.

When Daniel was shot, he went into shock, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into the another car. The shooter of the other vehicle fled the scene at this point, leaving Daniel critically injured and out of mind.

Police have identified the shooter as Trevor Dahl. He has multiple open cases against him and previous criminal offenses in Indiana. Officers took Trevor into custody on November 19, 2022, and he is currently booked in Hamilton County Jail with preliminary charges.

Daniel has no retirement plan or emergency savings to fall back on and a severely damaged vehicle. Unfortunately, his auto insurance cannot help cover any medical expenses due to his injuries being caused by a gunshot. He is off work for the time being while the fear of the unknown looms over his head. This GoFundMe is to help him not only with those costs but for his rent, medical bills, and legal fees to have justice. We thank you for any contribution you may contribute to getting things taken care of for Daniel, as this is the last thing anyone ever thought he would have to go through. He is not alone, as many people fall victim to gun violence such as this in our society.

According to the Fishers Police Department, 24-year-old Trevor Dahl of Noblesville faces multiple preliminary charges, including attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, and pointing a firearm.
