<div>From a very early age, Bob decided that living in Brooklyn, New York, was in no way going to dampen his enthusiasm for bicycling and hiking! He had little or no access to<em> untouched nature</em> until he joined the Hiking Club of Brooklyn College as an undergraduate. This led to a<em> lifelong love </em>of car camping and occasional backpacking. He found<em> enormous personal delight</em> in exploring wild places, both by himself, and with me and our three daughters.
