This fund is to lift up and support Michaela Elson and her family as she continues her courageous and inspiring battle with Sarcoma.    Those who know Michaela have been blessed by her amazing strength, unwavering faith, fearless determination and overwhelming positivity (as well as her mischievous sarcasm!)

She is a determined champion for her loved ones – not only family and friends, but also her students, her church and her community.   She is a force of faith. 

Michaela is only 23, yet she has the wisdom and maturity of someone many years older.   

To know Michaela – whether it’s a few hours or many years - is to love Michaela.     Let’s transform that love by showing her that NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE.

 


Sharing Michaela’s words below from her Facebook post June 10.   This young woman is amazing:

‎**I wear these bracelets because they have a larger impact on my life than anyone could originally guess. "No One Fights Alone"- the slogan that our Frazeysburg family brought along to define our journey MANY long years ago. The colors of each bracelet standing for a separate battle, intertwining among the generations. Purple signifying the pancreatic cancer that I witnessed my grandma struggle with when I was just a kid (also for caregivers). At a time when I was going back & forth to the ball field, I saw it all but wasn't able to truly understand the impact of her fight... The middle bracelet is the one I have worn for 5 years now. Those 3 colors showing the intense battle against thyroid cancer that my Mom fought all through my teenage years. At a time when I was old enough to understand, I watched her go through more than anyone should ever have to endure. When doctors gave her 6 months to live, she worked & proved them wrong 3 & a half years later... and now for the yellow one. The yellow one is now for the battle that I fight. Sarcoma... A very long, very uphill battle that now will directly affect my life forever. Treatments have started, hospital visits are already a regular routine, but God's plan will be worth it. Even when we are put in times of struggle, even when we want to question it all, He is the only thing pulling me through. Prayers over these next few months are greatly appreciated! Feeling the love & support I have already received has been overwhelming! **
