Aujourd’hui, nous nous permettons de faire appel a votre générosité afin de poursuivre l’histoire du restaurant « la Mère Germaine », une institution sur la cote d’azur depuis 1938 !!!
Tout à commencé avec Germaine devenue la Maman de la sixième flotte Américaine, tout le who’s who du monde entier s’y presse pour sa cuisine mais aussi pour le lieu qu’est Villefranche sur mer!!! Elle décède en 1959 et Louis Brau son mari gère l’établissement jusqu’en 1972 où Josiane leur fille et Remy son époux vont tout deux maintenir de mains de Maitres cette institution gastronomique. De cette union viendra Valerie et thierry, qui ce dernier après avoir fait L’ecole hotelière de Nice en cuisine et travaillé aux états unis tant en cuisine qu’en salle revient au pays et épouse Marisa.
Rémy prenant sa retraite, le couple reprend les rennes du restaurant, la troisième génération perpétue le souvenir, la qualité, le service et le savoir faire grâce à Thierry, Marisa et leurs deux garçons Vetea et Torea !!!
Malheureusement, comme vous le savez bien, la situation actuelle est critique et malgré notre histoire, nous ne dérogeons pas a la règle.
Notre objectif est de poursuivre ensemble cette belle aventure en votre compagnie ainsi que toute notre indispensable équipe et nous permettre de traverser cette période incertaine unique.

Dear Friends, Dear Clients,
Today we are calling up on your generosity to be able to pursue the story of the Restaurant « la Mère Germaine », an institution on the Côte d’Azur since 1938.
It all started with Germaine who became the « Mother » of the American Sixth Fleet. The Who’s who of the world came to her for her food as well as for the location, the Beautiful Bay of Villefranche sur Mer!
After she passed away in 1959, her husband Louis took over the restaurant until 1972 when Josiane and her husband Remy took the place to another level.
From this union came Valerie and Thierry. After going to Nice Hospitality School and working for a time in the United States as much in the kitchen as on the front floor, Thierry returned to Villefranche and marries Marisa.
After Remy’s retirement, the couple took the management as the third generation, and keeps the high standard of the restaurant with the help of their two sons, Vetea and Torea.
Unfortunately, as you know, the current critical situation, and despite our history, is hitting us as well.
Our goal is to pursue this great adventure with you as well as with our team members who are essential, during theses uncertain times.
Your help will allow us to keep the standard of our quality of products, service and food!!
