Hi! I didn’t even know if this still existed, but I followed what God laid on me as an unanswered prayer, for an answer. Right now, I’m in a situation where my car has completely broken down after I had just spent all the cash I had to replace a previous vehicle — and I’m trying to get back and forth to work as a nurse while covering the cost to fix it. I’m a Christian RN who in the past 2 years picked up the pieces of my life, moved to Miami from Michigan, and has rebuilt my life. I’m back working as an RN after a hiatus and completely on my feet on my own. While I make a decent income, the housing market down here is crazy and I’m paying a large portion of my income for housing.

 I’ve been at my company since October, and on my way to work one day my old Jeep started having problems and died out. A couple days later, it died for good. I was left without transportation and had to buy a car quickly. I took a couple days off, scrounged up cash, and thought I found a great deal on Facebook Marketplace — but because of my situation and urgency, I ended up with a car that had serious problems. Within 2 weeks, I was driving to work and suddenly the car didn’t just die — it blew a hole in the engine block. Completely ruined. All the money I had used to buy it was gone just like that. I’ve been crying out to God — what does someone do when their car dies, they spend everything they have on another one, and that one immediately dies too… and they still have work to get to and a life to support?

 Right now I’ve been taking rideshares to work, and it’s quickly eating into what little I have left — the same money I need to try to fix this situation. I do have a mechanic currently searching scrap yards for an engine (we believe we found one), but between getting it, delivering it, and installing it, I don’t know how I’m going to cover it. I don’t want to take on a car payment — I already used everything I had — and I’m just trying to stay on my feet and keep moving forward. …that’s why I’m here. I’m praying there are people who understand what it’s like to go through a stretch of really hard circumstances, who know there are both good and bad people in this world, and who believe that God still answers prayers. I truly believe miracles can happen through the generosity of others. When God put it on my heart to try GoFundMe, I didn’t question it — I’m just being obedient. I don’t know if I’m asking the right way or if this is even the best route, but any support will go directly toward repairing this vehicle or getting into something reliable with the help of a mechanic this time.
