Riverstone Relief and Recovery

Donation protected

As a result of the devastation caused by the flooding by Hurricane Harvey, we want to make every effort possible to find people to band together and help rebuild the community that we love.

My wife and I are members of the Riverstone community in Sugar Land, Tx; ourselves, our family, and our extended family live, work, and go to school in Riverstone.  We were lucky enough to evacuate in time, but want to return to help with the relief efforts.  After seeing the devestation, we want to give back to our community and bring relief and supplies to those in Riverstone who are unable to find the necessary resources.

Since Houston and the immediate Sugar Land area will be limited on supplies or sold out of major necessities for flood clean-up, we are renting a uhaul trailer to fill with supplies that will help with the demolition/clean up efforts in Riverstone.

We are currently in Austin, Tx and have access to supplies that are sold out or inaccessible in the Houston area.  I have a list of supplies that we are planning on purchasing below.  However, we ask that if there are any specific requests, please leave comments on here or in the Facebook group that we've created, letting us know what supplies will be most beneficial.

We want to help everyone get started with cleanup ASAP, and we are going to try to bring some supplies to help do that.

Obviously, several items will be sold out across Texas, but we will do our best with the avaialble resources to accomodate as much as the trailer (8'x5') will allow.  Since this is currently self funded, we've set up a GoFundMe account under "Riverstone Relief and Clean Up" for those of you that would like to help and contribute to these efforts from afar.  100% of all donations will go directly to supplies to support the Riverstone Relief efforts.

We will be searching Home Depots, Lowes, ACE Hardwares, and other hardware stores in search of necessary items until the trailer is full. I would expect that we will be heading back to Houston late this evening or tomorrow, so that once the water recedes, we can help begin the cleanup process.

A special thanks to all of our 1st responders across the entire US who has come to our aid.  You are the true heroes.

Thank you for everyone's support and contributions to all efforts in the Houston metroplex.  We will be home very soon to contribute as well.
