Riverside Community Players in Riverside, California, is entering its 96th season, providing thousands of audience members, actors, backstage workers and directors a space to love, learn, grow and experience live theatre over the years. RCP is an icon with a storied history in Riverside and its impact on theatre-goers and theatre-lovers has been lasting and powerful. We have survived many challenges during that long time period and we will survive COVID-19 as well!
But we can't survive without help. Thanks to generous donations from our patrons, our members, community supporters, artists and more, we have made it so far. In order to ride this wave, we are thinking 'out of the box'! We are embarking on a new challenge… producing a play, Reader's Theatre style, online!
We are privileged to present Robert Merrill’s latest work, “All the Jagged Edges”, for the first time on our ‘stage’. Robert is a resident of Riverside and an accomplished playwright. His former works, “Aria’s” and “Five Door Farce” have been produced at several theatres to rave reviews. The cast is made up of acclaimed actors, directed by Patrick Brien, all of whom are donating their time for this first-ever event by RCP. This amazing cast and director would be honored to have your attendance and support.
On August 28th at 7:00 PM, PST, join us on Facebook Live for free and be the first to see Robert’s latest work. (If you miss the live event, it will be posted on You Tube afterwards.) However, running a theatre isn’t ‘free’. We have bills to pay. We have had to cancel several planned productions and our revenue has been severely impacted.
