Riverside Cemetery War Memorial Preservation

Many of Riverside's War Memorial Sections (Civil, WWI, WWII)  are in dire need of attention and help.  We have soldiers buried at Riverside
from all of America's wars and actions including two Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.  Unfortunately these memorial section stones
have blackened with age and cannot be read anymore.

Riverside has begun restoration of the "Flanders Field" WWI Memorial with a $2,500 purchase of a granite base - replacing the crumbling cement base.  Riverside will concentrate on WWI section with Civil War and WW2 in the future.  All cleaning and restoration work will be performed by Monumedic,  a trusted and tried vendor.  Rick Tavella of Rick's Main Roofing in Norwalk kicked off this restoration project a month ago by cleaning and refurbishing the WW2 Flag Memorial.  Rick donated his time in designing and building  this Flag Memorial years ago in honor of the service given by his father and all  veterans buried here at Riverside.

Please help us restore these memorials to their former glory so our brave heroes will never be forgotten.

Thank you.
