Parents of Riverfront Rowing

Riverfront rowing is a unique rowing program that services middle school and high school students in the Hartford region.  The program draws from 18 different Connecticut towns and urban areas of varying demographics and income levels.  It is designed to integrate students, by offering fee-free instruction to the surrounding urban communities; encouraging their participation in a sport better known in private prep schools. 

  This fund-raising program has been created to help facilitate the parent-run food service associated with the program.  Each season, parent volunteers donate and make meals for the athletes while they are at away regattas.  Our goal is to raise enough money to buy a small trailer to transport the grills, tent and other items that have been purchased or donated to the team.   

We have contacted several trailer companies, and have found a supplier who is willing to to donate the perfect 8x12 trailer at cost.   (2500)  The additional 500 is being asked for for supplies to put in shelving, flooring and any additional modifications that might be needed to make the trailer safe for transport.

By donating to our cause, you will be helping support a program that brings rowing to communities that normally would not have access to the sport.  All donations of $250 or more will have the donors name etched into a plaque of recognition on the trailer.  Thank you so much for your help.
