Riverbend Reunion Fire Recovery

Donation protected
My name is Steph and my brother, Brandon Buck is a touring musician based out of Nashville, Tennessee. He has spent nearly a decade on the road full time, his life in a bag and aboard an old RV. Most of that time with The Corbitt Brothers Band but most recently Riverbend Reunion. Lots of cool stories and close calls have come from the road and many times a Grandmother's prayer has been thought to be responsible for things turning out the way they did.

On New years Eve as Riverbend Reunion was traveling through Mississippi between gigs their RV caught fire while traveling down the interstate. The fire ignited the emergency road flares that were stored in a compartment below. After immediately pulling over everyone escaped the RV with a few guitars and a fire extinguisher. As soon as the compartment door was opened to extinguish the fire the high winds turned the fire into a blaze, and quickly got out of control. The RV was quickly engulfed in flames and thick deadly smoke. The hillside was soon on fire and the winds carried the fire about a quarter mile down the road. When the fire department arrived they concentrated on the growing wild fire before turning their attention to the RV which by now was almost completely gone. I was on the phone with Brandon as they waited for the fire department to get to the RV. He said, "I've lost everything. I'm sitting here watching my drums burn & can't do anything about it." There was literally nothing they could do but watch their livelihood go up in smoke.

I have started this Gofundme because I know that they would never do this for themselves and with hopes that this can help them recover some of what is lost since most will not be covered under insurance. The RV will have a claim, but as you may or may not know a working band doesn’t drive a state of the art camper and the replacement value is a drop in the bucket, especially since they just installed a brand new engine. It is an incredible amount of money for anyone to raise. The trailer, which was destroyed by the fire, contained all of their equipment, a collection of gear that was accumulated over decades. These guys are all accomplished musicians and have spent the better part of their lives assembling the best tools, amplifires, speakers, synthesizers, effects, drums, all of their merchandise, cameras, ipads, road cases, all the drum equipment, cymbals, stands and a huge assortment of cables and other sundries that make everything work. The fire took a lifetime of work away in minutes!!!!

The good news is everything that was lost was material and everyone made it out safe. This was again thanks to praying mamas and grandmas. When I arrived in Mississippi last night to pick these guys up I couldn't have been more surprised to find everyone in good spirits and focused on the future.

If you can please help these guys out. You couldn't ask for a better group of people. They've worked so hard to get to create something truly special. Donate if you are able, no contribution too small, share this campaign with your friends and spread the word. Please help me turn their New Year into a New Start instead of terrible end to 2017.
