Rivera Reyes Tragedy

The family of our friend, Maria de Lourdes “Bertha” Rivera Reyes, has been involved in a terrible tragedy. On Tuesday, August 1st, 2017, there was an explosion caused by a faulty gas cylinder in the family home in Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico. Seven members of Bertha’s family were injured in the explosion :

Bertha’s father, Rodolfo, and sister, Maria Hilda, are currently in critical condition in intensive care. And other family members are continuing treatment for severe burns in the hospital. An article about the accident can be seen here .

In addition to the medical expenses, the family’s home and all their possessions were completely destroyed. Funds raised will go toward paying medical expenses and rebuilding this wonderful family’s home.
