Rita Marley runs for Jampups

Tax deductible

Hello hooman and dog friends, I am Rita Marley! My mom adopted me from Jamaica in April of last year. The nice people at Animal House of Jamaica found me locked up in a dirty wire cage, with no food or water, just two empty bowls. Someone left and forgot about me. I was so hungry and thirsty, and skinny too!

They fed me, saved me and found me a good home allllll the way in Pennsylvania  where I can take over the whhhhhollle bed, chase imaginary bunnies, and get tons of snacks! I flew here in a big plane. It was scary, but I love it here!! Mom says I have a big butt now, but it looks good on me.

AHJ has helped so many of my friends too! But new dogs come all the time. If you've been to Jamaica on vacation, you've seen my friends begging for something to eat. Many are badly abused,  and they always find a loving place to stay with Animal House of Jamaica. There are currently about 200 pups just like me there and they need money for food and medical treatment now more than ever. Usually, hotels donate a little bit of meat leftovers to help out, but all the hotels are closed!

My mom and I plan to run 100 miles in the next 4 weeks to raise any money we can. Will you please help? I really don’t like running on leash. I’d much rather jump in and out bushes and roll in deer poop, but I told mom I’m all in to help my friends. Please help my buddies. Every dog needs food and love no matter where he or she is!!!

Check them out, and if you would like to adopt a beautiful Jamaican beauty just like me, just contact them:

More information about Animal House Jamaica:
Jamaica has many forgotten animals. Abused, abandoned, injured, and often left to die alone in the hot sun. What for many is an island paradise is, for these animals, an island hell. The Animal House Jamaica was formed to give these animals a second chance. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many of these homeless souls as possible, and to offer the few that prove to be un-adoptable a safe and secure sanctuary for life. At any given time The Animal House Jamaica is home to approximately 150 -200 animals. We believe that aggressive spay and neuter efforts are the only effective and moral way to curb overpopulation.
