Rising together for Puerto Rico

As you know this past week hurricane Maria passed across the US commonwealth of Puerto Rico leaving 3.5 million American citizens without communication and electricity. I am Puertorrican, from the town of Arecibo. Up until Sunday night I did not had received any news about my Family and the wait was agonizing. Thanks to a friend now I know they are alive and well. However, No electricity, No water, and haven’t been able to hear them directly.

I am starting this channel to help collect monies to buy supplies and emergency articles to send to the communities in Puerto Rico that are outside of San Juan and have a greater necessity.

In addition, Here in Birmingham Alabama, in collaboration with the Puertorrican restaurant: Miami Fusion Café and the group Puerto Rico se levanta desde Alabama (Rising Puerto Rico from Alabama), we will be collecting emergency articles such as diapers, batteries, water, flashlights, canned food, ect. The restaurant will be open for donations Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.
