R.I.S.E. to Empower - Empowering Girls!

Hello family, friends and friends of friends!
Welcome to our R.I.S.E to Empower Inc. fundraiser page. As many of you know, we started our nonprofit -- R.I.S.E. to Empower -- from our passion to help girls and young women make positive life choices.
We have created a 3 month program which will include a workbook (that is currently in development), a memoir and an inspirational quote book. The program will include a 2 hour weekly discussion group led by facilitators at high schools, group homes, foster facilities and continuation schools. We will be working with a graduate program at a San Diego university to create a system to measure results. This program offers the girls a transformational experience where they will be asked to take a deep look at their lives, the challenges they are faced with daily as teen girls and their relationship to choice. Our desire is to help the girls find their joy, follow their heart and live their dreams!
We are in the process of organizing 3 pilot programs for the spring of 2015. The 3 programs will be facilitated at a San Diego County high school, a continuation school and a juvenile facility. Our ultimate goal is to grow our program statewide and eventually nationwide. We will work with educational systems to get R.I.S.E. into high school curriculum; with in person facilitation, video modules and online options.
In order to develop the program and deliver the pilots, we need to initially *raise $25,000.00! Please help us reach our goal by donating any amount you can and sharing this page with all of your friends.
