Rise Up for Running River School - Help Support Us

For eight years Running River School has been building a non-profit (501c3), independent, Waldorf-inspired school in the heart of Sedona, Arizona. Running River School (RRS) started its first class with five students, and now serves close to 60 beautiful children across eight grades. With a foundation rich in academics, creativity, critical/forward thinking, interconnection, compassion, and resilience this education is perfect for today's generation of future leaders.

RRS has been working toward the purchase of an independent campus for many years as one of its main long-term goals. The potential new campus is a beautiful building in the heart of Sedona, which serendipitously is zoned to operate as a school. This is currently the key piece in not only fulfilling immediate needs, but also taking steps toward RRS’s long-term vision!

The long-term vision of Running River School is an innovative, Waldorf-inspired learning center for local children in the heart of this powerful place. In alignment with the founders’ original intentions, this unique environment will become a place where children can develop the skills needed to provide solutions for the future, such as love, respect, compassion for one another and our natural environment; a love of learning that will follow them for life; and enlivened thinking so they may accomplish whatever they put their minds and hearts to.
