<div>Join us to support literacy and attachment for children living in refugee camps in Reynosa, Mexico. Rise Up And Read started as a conversation between two friends, Dr Susanna Block (pediatrician) and Dr Lesley Sylvan, speech language pathologist, (SLP). How to best support literacy and attachment for children in refugee camps. In partnership with Dr Robyn Becker, speech language pathology graduate students at Montclair University and Solidarity Engineering (a humanitarian engineering ngo working in Reynosa Mexico) Rise Up And Read has distributed 600 bilingual early reading books with thought questions, conducted a field assessment of book needs in the camps and created a patient facing portal for bilingual books.
